About PGL Travel
PGL gets its name from the initials of the man who started it all in the 1950s – Peter Gordon Lawrence.
In 1955, Peter embarked on his first canoeing holiday down the River Danube. Inspired by the experience, back home in England he began leading canoe trips for young adults along the River Wye. Peter called this new venture ‘PGL Voyages’, and so began the company known today as PGL Travel Ltd. Since 1957, we’ve grown enormously because we’re passionate about what we do. We listen to our customers and continually invest and innovate to provide the very best combination of adventure activities, equipment, accommodation, food and service. We are delighted to be able to offer the PGL residential camp experience to schools and youth groups in Victoria, Queensland and beyond.
So what’s the difference with PGL?
Our amazing camps, the good quality food and comfortable accommodation; the wide range of exciting activities and specially designed activity programs, all help place us head-and-shoulders above our competitors.
