Our school camp in Queensland

Kindilan (QLD)

PGL Kindilan is situated a short 40-minute drive from Brisbane, and just one hour away from the Gold Coast. Redland Bay in South East Queensland is an idyllic spot and PGL Kindilan offers students a stunning bushland setting within this vast conservation area. 

PGL Kindilan offers a range of accommodation options, suitable for over 300 people, from our unique roundhouses and lodges to our permanent tented village, where you can get a feel for your bushland surroundings without the hassle of erecting a tent. 

Your age-appropriate activity program will be designed to spark brilliant breakthroughs in your students and help them develop skills for life.

Can I take primary or secondary school children to PGL Kindilan in Queensland?

Yes, we cater for all ages. We offer stimulating programs for primary school and secondary school students – with specialist activity programs designed to complement your students’ educational studies. We’ll work alongside teachers from schools in Queensland to develop a tailored program that provides inspiration, motivation and challenge to your students. 

What is the R.E.A.C.H framework and how can it benefit pupils?

What are the transport arrangements for getting to and from camp?

Coach transport is not automatically included in the price, but we would be more than happy to help you arrange this, making your trip to PGL Kindilan in Queensland as smooth as possible. Contact us with your requirements and we’ll be on hand to assist. 

Do you accommodate special dietary requirements for your school camps?

The health and well-being of all children who attend a PGL school camp are of paramount importance to us. We provide three healthy, high-energy meals per day, with plenty of variety, and we always serve generous portions of fruit and vegetables for a balanced meal. A vegetarian alternative can always be provided, and we can accommodate most special diets required on medical or religious grounds but in all cases, we will require full details at the time of booking – just let us know!

Do you offer any extras that we can add to our trip?

If you would like to add morning, afternoon tea or supper to your booking then you can make this request or add this to your booking. We can also provide bedding (pillow, doona) for an additional fee if required (fitted bed sheet is automatically included).

What are the safety protocols for school camps at PGL?

We leave nothing to chance here at PGL when it comes to the safety of everybody who attends a school camp at our campsites. All our school camp activities are carefully planned and led by trained instructors who adhere to strict safety guidelines. We regularly inspect and maintain our equipment to ensure a secure environment for all participants.

PGL staff will also lead groups and instruct students and pupils on activity sessions, whilst we allow teachers and group leaders to continue to have responsibility for student behaviour and welfare. We also have a list of risk assessments and activity descriptions that you can view here.

Are there certain items I should remember to pack before heading on a school camp in Queensland?

We provide guidance for parents, teachers and students well in advance, so you’ll know every item you may need during your camp stay. If you want to get prepared, take a look at our handy packing guide. Soft-sided bags, such as duffle bags, are easier to store in your cabin. Please try to limit the weight of your bag to under 15kg.
