Wondering how to develop problem solving skills in your secondary students? Well, our MASTER! program is designed to boost your students’ abilities to help them in their education and adult life. So, here are some of the endless ways our MASTER! program can help your learners.

Boosts confidence

Self-confidence is huge for secondary school students. Whether they have just started their first year in big school, or they are approaching their end-of-year exams, confidence can impact their learning experience in so many ways.

Our MASTER! program boosts confidence through a variety of engaging, challenging and fun outdoor activities. Your students could unlock a new talent or passion, discover their voice when joining in with challenges, or simply feel good about themselves after receiving support from their classmates!

Some of our activities that help to improve self confidence:

  • Leap of Faith
  • PGL Tournament

Improves teamwork skills

Teamwork skills will always be relevant and crucial for your students, throughout school and into working life. Our MASTER! program incorporates lots of exciting collaborative activities for your students to complete together, such as Crate Stacking, Raft Building, Team Challenge and more. Your students will develop their communication skills while deciding on the best way to approach tasks, and we facilitate mixing up opportunities for students to shine and flex their teamwork skills in different environments and with different groups of people.

Develops leadership skills

Our activities will bring out the inner leader in your students. Children may need to split up certain tasks so they can complete the challenge efficiently, and that will need a leader! Our activities like raft building will help to develop leadership skills when decisions need to be made on the design of the raft, what materials to use and other important decisions.

Our Bush Craft and Bush Walk activities provide fantastic learning opportunities, teaching your students how nature can help them and how they can respect the environment.

Some of our outdoor activities that can increase environmental awareness include:

  • Bush Craft
  • Bush Walk
  • Tree Climb

Enhances problem solving skills

‘How to develop problem solving skills in students’ is one question that floats around teachers’ and educators’ minds quite often. Well, our MASTER! program is one way! All of our activities challenge your students’ problem solving skills in one way or another. Often problem solving skills can go hand-in-hand with teamwork skills. Giving students challenges that are in their stretch-zone, while providing feedback and encouraging different ways of thinking, lead to some brilliant breakthroughs. Some examples include:

  • Initiative Exercises
  • Raft Building
  • Challenge Course

Elevates organisational skills

Don’t forget about organisational skills. If you’re ever stuck thinking about how to improve organisational skills for students, then camp is the answer! As they aim to complete some challenges within a certain time, they begin to plan methodically and organise the tasks at hand. All these skills come hand in hand, complementing each other and helping with the growth of your students.

Outside of adventure activities, simply being on camp and being responsible for their own property and person does amazing things for students’ organisational skills. Working out which clothes to wear for different activities, how to dry out wet clothes and when to shower are all micro-activities that they may never have been responsible for in a home environment.

Our activities that can elevate your organisational skills include:

  • Crate Stacking
  • Packing backpack for overnight camp stay
  • Packing up camp
