During the COVID-19 pandemic, our young people have arguably missed out the most. A large part of their educational journey, including the opportunity to keep active and have fun with their friends, has been lost and camp has always been a key factor in both of these. This big milestone of their school careers plays a huge role in building resilience, confidence and teamwork in a safe and secure way outside of the traditional classroom.
In September 2020, Victoria State’s Government moved into the third step on the roadmap to ‘COVID-Normal’. We welcome this opportunity for students to once again benefit from time with their teachers and peers in the great outdoors. Schools could return to camp and they have done so with great enthusiasm.
